Customs inspector with more than 9 years of experience at Dubai Customs, first on the cargo lanes at Jebel Ali Port and, since 2025, at the Hatta land border. The work is hands-on: X-ray screening of containers and vehicles, checking declarations in CDM, and deciding which shipments need a closer look. I have handled seizure cases from the first red flag through to the file sent to legal, and I now train fellow inspectors on scanning equipment and reading X-ray images. I'm looking to bring this port and border experience to a trade compliance or terminal operations role with a logistics or port operator.

Professional experience
- Inspect high-risk shipments such as chemicals, psychotropic substances, and explosives before they cross into the UAE.
- Write seizure reports on prohibited goods and hand the cases over to the legal department for prosecution.
- Check that the paperwork matches the cargo and that each shipment meets UAE customs rules.
- Named to the Hatta Customs Center internal training team (Administrative Decision No. 2025/01). Trained 13 inspectors and officers on heavy and light vehicle scanners, how to read X-ray images, and how to spot the signs that something is off.
- Screened containers arriving from the US and China by X-ray at a high-volume port, looking for hidden or banned goods.
- Verified shipping documents and ran declaration checks in the CDM (Customs Declaration Management) system.
- Organised shift schedules, kept the section’s statistics up to date, and coached newer inspectors.
